I met the name and work of Manuel Gomes Teixeira (master in Platinum) through a group of friends that we had on the Net, "100 ASA forum". I personally contacted him with the intention of taking a Platinotype course, but the project did not materialize.
However, since then, we have exchanged common interests in photography. It was with his help that I realized my first Wet Plate, it was with his help that I learned how to build my Dark Room.
In September 2013 he had the kindness to offer me a platinotype made by him.
Later, I went to visit Manuel Gomes Teixeira for his work environment, his "cockpit with a view", as he referred to it.
A delicate person, well-versed in the perfection and thoroughness of the technique he practices.
One day I sent him a dry plate, "the bride"; Manuel, give me a platinotype made with the dry plate I had sent him
Photography has offered me moments and people like this, unforgettable!
Thanks, Manuel Gomes Teixeira!
